Our Story
Straightway Sober Living grew out of a simple observation: too many people leaving treatment had nowhere safe to go. Without stable housing and a supportive community, the odds of relapse are staggering.
Our founders — set out to create something different. Not just a place to sleep, but a real home with structure, accountability, and people who genuinely care about each other's success.
Today, Straightway serves men and women across the Detroit metro area, working closely with treatment centers, courts, and counselors to provide a critical bridge between treatment and independent living.

15 years in recovery. Marcus founded Straightway after years of working in treatment and seeing residents leave without a safe place to land.

A licensed social worker with 10 years in community recovery services. Denise connects residents with employment, benefits, and ongoing support.

House Manager
8 years in recovery. James oversees daily operations, house meetings, and is often the first person a new resident meets.
